Dermablend Flawless Creator Foundation 75W & 85N
Updated: Sep 4, 2018
After years of watching other women achieve such flawless makeup applications after using Dermablend Professional, I finally got my chance to use one of the BEST foundations in the beauty game.
Dermablend Professional has been on my radar for years. Back in my days of high school, one of my best girlfriends dealt with some pretty severe skin issues (in which I believe was Vitiligo), and she used a Dermablend foundation to cover it. I couldn't believe that a product would even be able to cover a skin condition like Vitiligo. I also watched her use it cover her tattoos when we would participate in bridal shows in our 20's. Needless to say.... I was fascinated!
What exactly was in this magical potion for skin??? And what will it do for me?
In 2014 it seemed as if Dermablend really exploded unto the beauty scene with the help of social media. I kept so seeing so many flawless makeup applications for women of color and I just had to get my hands on it.
I guess God heard my prayers because he gave me the opportunity to finally partner with the brand to test out their new foundation, the Dermablend Flawless Creator Liquid Foundation Drops.
The product comes in 20 shades and ranging from fair, light, medium to deep skin tones. The foundation can be customized. Depending on what the foundation is mixed with it can become to a hydrating, anti-aging,, acne fighting, UV protection or other type of foundation. Flawless Creator has ability to be mixed with any all skincare and make products due to the unique formula and lack of water and oil. It is also dermatologist tested and can be recommended by dermatologists to their patients with all skin types and all skin conditions from normal to severe.
Safely Covers Imperfections, Redness, Hyperpigmentation, Uneven skin tone
For All Skintypes
Evens and Smooths Skin
The Dermablend Flawless Creator Foundation Drops retails for $40.00 and can be purchased at Ulta. I have tried a lot of products that "claim" to be "full coverage"....Well honey this is indeed a fact that Dermablend Flawless Creator Foundation is a full coverage product.
WHAT I LOVE
The packaging ---the glass body reads expensive and it very well should for $40.00!!!!!
This product covered all of my freckles and gave me an even complexion.
It was extremely blendable
The formula consistency has a thin liquid texture.
It did doesn't look cakey on my skin or feel heavy on the skin.
It dries quickly to a soft matte finish but does not dry my skin out.
Shade match is great for someone with deep milk chocolate complexion with yellow undertones.
Smooths out the skin texture.
WHAT I DON'T LOVE
I don't love that this foundation has a dropper to apply foundation. I tested out the dropper effect with the NYX Total Drop Control foundation and it's rather annoying. I don't really feel like you can distribute the product the way you would prefer to. To each it's own, I guess. I don't really feel like the dropper works for me. It's more annoying than helpful.
Shade range for deeper skin tones are limited, and I think that there should be more colors added to the collection. There are so many mediums and in between shades for deeper skin tones and I would like to see that acknowledged in this collection.
It's only available at Ulta and Macy's. I would love to see the foundation offered at Sephora as well.
I personally believe that it is a great high end product and it delivers value; therefore it is worth every penny. I might just have to make this my new foundation for 2018.
